Anne Hathaway and husband, Adam Shulman, announced last July that they were expecting their second baby together. The Oscar-winning actress welcomed their second child with a low-key, fun-filled baby shower in New York last Saturday afternoon.
The couple invited only their loved ones during the special day. It took place in Hathaway’s home on the Upper West Side. It was more like an unplanned baby shower because it was all a big surprise from her close friends. She walked in and everybody shouted “Surprise”. She was shocked then went on to hug one of her friends and told them they were so good to have thrown the party.
Though it came as a shock to her, she did look amazing in an off-shoulder navy blue dress. She was also wearing a gold butterfly necklace. The mother-to-be was wearing very little makeup, too.
She was all smiles and chatted with her friends while rubbing her hands on her belly every now and then. Meanwhile, most of the guests partied at the outdoor terrace where they set up a long table. They ate baked goods and different kinds of food which were served in elegant silver. Guests were expecting she would reveal her new baby’s gender but she never did. For sure she’ll also surprise everybody, especially her fans.- Advertisement -
Hathaway talked about her pregnancy struggles earlier this year. She also sent her “extra love” to those who are going through infertility and conception issues. She confessed that both her pregnancies were difficult, too.
Moreover, she also talked about her having a “mommy brain” on her first post-pregnancy appearance. According to her, though she can focus on certain things, there are those which her brain refused to do so like when somebody was describing something to her. Further, there were words she had a hard time remembering. She also felt like she was too taxing for people around her.
Anne Hathaway may not be telling fans the gender of her baby soon but one thing’s for sure. Their son, Jonathan Rosebanks Shulman aged 3, will soon be a big brother to the new addition to the family.
