Billie Eilish together with her older brother Finneas O’Connell bagged numerous awards at the 2020 Grammys. The sibling duo won Song of the Year, Record of the Year and Album of the Year. On the other hand, Eilish won as Best New Artist and O’Connell won Producer of the Year which made their first-ever Grammy a very special and historic one.
So how did the two feel winning all these awards? O’Connell shared that he and Eilish were a bit embarrassed about the awards that they had on the Grammys. He noted that he hoped the awards would be more equally divided among the other nominees as they also deserve the recognition.
O’Connell shared that Eilish was very thankful and a lot of her friends were there to show her support. He added that they both love all their fellow nominees. As it turned out, he was looking forward to Lizzo and Lil Nas X to bag some awards in the top categories. He added that he thought ‘Truth Hurts’ would really win as a record of the year and ‘Old Town Road’ would win as the song of the year.- Advertisement -
Now that the awards season has ended, the star shared he’s not focused on boiling some award-winning projects as of the moment. Instead, he is contented of all that they achieved and will be focusing on his other dreams. He continued that he really wants to do music work in theatre and film in the next five years. What he’s busy now, though, is his upcoming world tour with Billie. He has been working out on writing new music and taking a lot of meetings to figure out their next steps.
The sibling duo appeared at the 2020 Oscars where they teamed up to have a performance on The Beatles “Yesterday” for the In Memoriam tribute. While having a lot of stints on the awards season, the producer revealed that their list of awards has made a part of their lives a bit difficult. He shared that it changed their freedom to go places together which van be a bit bad. He also added that he and his sister are honest with each other and there’s no other person he likes working with as much as his sister.
