He’ll be the man! Dwayne Johnson is more than pleased to work with Taylor Swift on her new music video. The actor is also on the gear on planning their next project.

On Thursday, February 27, the 30-year-old Lover singer celebrated the release of the video for “The Man”. Taylor Swift extended her gratitude to Dwayne Johnson after playing a special role in the said music video.
Swift tweeted about how happy she is on the release of her music video and thanked so many people who included the 47-year-old actor for voicing The Man and for being so supportive of her music all throughout the years. The music video is also Swift’s directorial debut.
The Moana star quickly sent his love back to Taylor by congratulating her on taking the project in her own hands. He replied that it was also his pleasure to voice The Man. He added that it was a great transformation and has a great message on women’s equality and the importance of straight-up being kind and good to every person. The actor is also very enthusiastic when it comes to having a duet with Taylor Swift as he says he’ll bring the tequila and she’ll bring the guitar.
Johnson helped in bringing the titular ‘man’ come to life on the music video as he lends his voice to Swift’s male alter-ego. After undergoing a dramatic transformation, Swift appears as an entitled reckless man who’s up for no consequences even on the worst behavior that he inhabits. It didn’t take up much time to comprehend that “The Man” was inspired by Taylor Swift’s feud with Scooter Braun who acquired the singer’s master recordings after taking over Big Machine Records, Swift’s former label. In June 2019, Swift accused Braun of ceaseless manipulative bullying over her years of career. Swift shared that Braun stripped her off her life’s work which she wasn’t even given the opportunity to buy.

She added that this is what happens when you sign a deal at fifteen to someone who refers to loyalty as just a contractual concept.
