The actress has been in a long-term relationship with Gosling for almost a decade and in fact they share two daughters namely Esmeralda, 5, and Amanda, 3. Unlike other celebrity parents out there, she doesn’t post what she and her family do daily.
This weekend, Mendes took to Instagram to share a photo of a painting. According to her post, it is during these times that she is confused about what she will post online since she doesn’t post about her immediate family. She also said it feels wrong to post something about work. That’s why she decided to post about things that move her, hoping that they will move her followers as well.
The photo she shared was one of her favorite art pieces created by Rene Magritte. She said she loved the artwork and it felt relevant with the present situation. After reading her post’s caption, a fan asked why she doesn’t like posting about her family.
To this, Mendes responded that she had a clear boundary when it comes to her immediate family. She said she talks about them but with limits but she doesn’t post photos of their everyday life. She added that their children are still very young and they don’t understand what it means to post their photos online. She added that she doesn’t have their consent. Moreover, she mentioned she wants to keep things private between her and Gosling. She wrote that it works for them this way, to remain private.
Meanwhile, she reassured fans that she doesn’t mind explaining herself sometimes. She cares about people and their questions so she’s happy to answer with all honesty.- Advertisement -
On the other hand, another fan praised her for sharing such meaningful posts, especially during this COVID-19 pandemic. The fan thanked her for her thoughtful posts and explained how she cringes at narcissistic posts as well as humble brags during this period. Eva Mendes responded that she experiences the same and sends her love to the fan.
