Since the show ended its 10-season run in 2004, the cast of Friends Jennifer Aniston (Rachel Green), Matt LeBlanc (Joey Tribbiani), Lisa Kudrow (Phoebe Buffay), Courteney Cox (Monica Geller), David Schwimmer (Ross Geller) and Matthew Perry (Chandler Bing) became real-life best friends. The six core castmates, as such, in the years after wrapping their beloved sitcom, reunited on multiple occasions.
At the premiere of her HBO sitcom, The Comeback, LeBlanc supported Kudrow in June 2005. In September 2009, Kudrow performed “Smelly Cat” alongside Cox at the Rock a Little, Feed a Lot benefit concert in Los Angeles. Standing by his side at the premiere of his critically-acclaimed sitcom Episodes, Kudrow returned the favour for LeBlanc in June 2012.
In August 2014, Jimmy Kimmel – Aniston’s good friend, staged a reunion with women of Friends on Jimmy Kimmel Live! Meanwhile, at a Phoenix House charity gala in June 2015, Perry and Kudrow banded together.
The biggest reunion yet took place in January 2016. All of the castmates except for Perry, who was then busy with rehearsals for The End of Longing in London, participated in An All-Star Tribute to James Burrows, who directed many of their show’s episodes. In February 2016, at the Writers Guild Awards, LeBlanc and Cox presented together.
To pay a special tribute to pal George Clooney, Cox and Aniston took the stage at the American Film Institute Life Achievement Award Gala in June 2018. Later in December, Cox rooted for Aniston at the Los Angeles premiere of her Netflix film Dumplin’.
During Cox’s appearance on her talk show in January 2019, Ellen DeGeneres recreated the Central Park set – Kudrow then surprised her bestie for a photo op. In June 2019, with Aniston and Kudrow, Cox rang in her 55th birthday. Cox and Kudrow caught up in an unexpected hangout session in September 2019 together with filmmaker Judd Apatow and singer Charlie Puth. Later in October, all six cast members, for the first time in 25 years, posed together for a selfie posted on Aniston’s Instagram.
In November, to show Friends fans that Chandler and Monica will always love each other, Matthew Perry and Courteney Cox reunited. In the same month, to support Aniston, the ladies of Friends hit the 4th annual SAG-AFTRA Foundation’s Patron of the Artists Awards to support Aniston. For a photo op while on the red carpet, Paul Rudd, who played Kudrow’s character’s spouse on the NBC sitcom, also joined the trio.- Advertisement -
In January 2020, from her hangout session with Cox and Kudrow, Aniston posted two cute snaps. The latest reunion as of now was in July 2020 when Cox and Aniston posed for a photo together where they wore masks due to the coronavirus pandemic.
