Halle Berry Finally Claps Back at Trolls Over Son’s Video

Just like other celebrity mom out there, Halle Berry has her own share of trolls who like criticizing the way she exercises motherhood. Instagram trolls and critics call out the X-Men actress after posting a video of her six-year-old son, Maceo, wearing a pair of heeled white boots on March 24.

According to the 53-year-old actress, it was her way of sharing how her family, especially her young ones, are coping with staying at home and self-isolation due to the global spread of the coronavirus which have already claimed 8,503 lives in the United States alone and with over 312,200 people who are testing positive. The star was then quick to respond and stand-up for her six-year-old son, whom she shared with her former husband Olivier Martinez against the Instagram trolls and critics who called out her action in allowing him to wear and play with her high-heeled boots.

Someone in the platform even referred to her son Maceo using she/her pronouns by which Berry responded by explaining that he was technically a ‘he’ and that he was having a great time while they are all trying to get by with all the self-isolation activities.

THIS KID is forever my #MCM❤️

She also responded by clarifying that the video was just a harmless fun and that she was merely trying to lighten the mood with all the pandemic crisis that is going on at the moment considering that it has been really tight with most of the kids. The Oscar winner further added that people should rather have a laugh and enjoy the moment while in the midst of battling such crucial turn of events.

In the meantime, the James Bond star further added that sharing the video was already a struggle for her part given that she has long ago chosen not to display her kids’ faces on any social media platform. Berry remarked that she chose and wanted to protect them from any possible exploitation, making the video she posted as one of the rare glimpse into her children’s lives.

She had explained that there is such a fine line when it comes to sharing her children’s photos and faces in social media because she wanted to keep them from being exploited but like all mother, Berry cannot fight the urge to include them, making her show only a small fraction of their face whenever she is trying to show the world a small and rare glimpse of their lives.

Earlier, Chrissy Teigen shared three things she had been mom bullied for.
