On Tuesday, Harry Styles arrived in style on the red carpet on the 2020 BRIT Awards. The “Adore You” singer was wearing a brown suit layered over a purple sweater. The outfit was not the one who caught the people’s attention, but it was the black ribbon on his lapel, which was typically a symbol of mourning. The 26-year-old artist was wearing the ribbon to honor and give tribute to British TV host Caroline Flack, whom he dated in the past.
Caroline Flack was a former X Factor and Love Island presenter. On Saturday, the host committed suicide and was found in her east London flat on Sunday. The host died at the age of 40 and the incident was confirmed by her family and an attorney.
Her family put out a statement confirming the death of Caroline on February 15. They also asked the press to respect their privacy as it is a difficult time for them. They added that they would appreciate it if the media would not attempt to contact or even photograph them.
At the BRIT Awards, Flack was remembered during the ceremony in which she also appeared many times over the years. The ceremony’s host, Jack Whitehall honored Flack as a member of the Brits family during his introduction.
Going back to Harry Styles, before the BRIT Awards, he was unharmed but understandably shaken after a terrifying incident over the weekend.
On Friday night, the singer was robbed while out in Hampstead area of London. He was approached by a man holding a knife who wanted to have cash. Styles actually played it cool, quickly gave the man cash and kept himself calm as well as the assailant. But, reasonably, the incident left him shaken afterward.
The robbery is being investigated and the officers were contacted on February 15, Saturday regarding the incident which happened at around 11:50 p.m. on February 14.- Advertisement -
Despite the incident, Harry Styles was in good spirits by walking at the red carpet on the 2020 BRIT Awards. The One Direction alum was nominated for British Album of the Year and British Male Solo Artist at the ceremony which was held at The 02 Arena located in London.
As reported before, earlier this year Nick Gordon died of heroin toxicity and became one of the first celebrities who passed away in 2020.
