Jada’s reps have called the claims “absolutely not true,” according to TMZ and Page Six, after Alsina publicly spoke about allegedly being involved with the actress romantically, including the claim that her longtime husband gave his “blessing” to him.
In an interview this week between Alsina and Angela Yee published on YouTube, the headline-making allegations surfaced. Along with the rumors that he had dated Smith, the topic of the 27-year-old singer’s “Nunya” track came up during the sit-down.
Alsina began saying that people can have whatever ideas that they like, but what he’s not okay with is his character being in question, sharing that he’s not a troublemaker contrary to what some people believe.
The performer clarified, however, that it’s very different this time around for there’s so many people side-eyeing him – he has lost friendships, relationships and money behind it and he thinks it’s because people don’t necessarily know the truth, but he’s never done anything wrong.
He added, seemingly referring to Jada and Will, that he doesn’t have a bad thing to say about them and that they’re beautiful people.
After his life and wellness were being affected, the singer said he didn’t have a choice but to express his truth.
He alleged that he actually sat down with Will and had a talk due to transformation from their marriage to life partnership that for several times, they’ve spoken on, and it not involving romanticism, adding that Will gave him his blessing and for years of his life, he totally gave his self to that relationship, and he truly, deeply loved and have a ton of love for Jada.
Continuing to pour his heart out, Alsina told Yee that he really loved a person – he knows what it feels like, and he knows he’s completely blessed, for in this lifetime, some people never get that.
Responding to why he stayed silent about the alleged relationship, he shared that he never wanted to be the person to cause confusion because he loves those people, so much so that being intertwined in that way – butchered him when he walked away from it.- Advertisement -
He said further that the alleged split will probably be the hardest thing he’s ever experienced in this lifetime.
Alsina said that he wants to honor himself and his authenticity – and if honouring his authenticity means anyone hates him, he can stone him, shoot him, crucify him or whatever, but he will be buried as an honest man.
