On Sunday, January 19, at the 2020 SAG Awards, Jennifer Aniston gets emotional after winning Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Drama Series for her role in The Morning Show.
The 50-year-old actress showed how shocked she was as she took the stage at the Shrine Auditorium and Expo Hall in Los Angeles. She talked about when she was a little girl. She said she didn’t have a VCR but she had a tape recorder and likes to tape Laverne and Shirley, Happy Days and more. She listens to their episodes and drams of doing that one day too. Then she got Bob’s Big Boy commercial and into SAG Awards. Those were humble beginning for her and she shared that she is very grateful for those moments. She also praised that head writer who created a lot of characters that are layered, complicated, messy and complicated and beautiful.
The Friends alum also compared her character’s emotional breakdowns to her own life. She also thanked her co-star Reese Witherspoon by giving a sweet shout out. She talked about how Witherspoon’s performances inspire her. She also looked back on the times she was invited to the SAG Awards up to the moment where she is right now.
Earlier that evening, Aniston was seen clapping during her ex-husband Brad Pitt’s acceptance speech for his role Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. Pitt shared how difficult it was to be a guy who gets high and doesn’t get on with his own wife. And Aniston was there, intimately listening to Pitt.
After Aniston’s win, they were spotted backstage congratulating each other. Earlier this month, both were also spotted crossing paths at the Golden Globes and at the same after parties. Pitt shared in a pre-Globes red carpet interview that Aniston was a good friend. A lot of people have been actually craving for the two to get back together.- Advertisement -
After her divorce from Aniston, Pitt started his romance with Angelina Jolie. They both shared six kids, split in 2016 after two years of getting married and 10 years of being together. On the other hand, after less than three years of marriage, Aniston also called it quits with husband Justin Theroux in 2018.
