to everyone reading this and to myself: keep researching, reading, and educating yourself on how we can become better allies. I’ve been doing a lot of thinking these past few days and my heart has been so heavy. I’m angry and hurt just like so many. I will never personally understand the fear and pain that the black community go through on a daily basis, but i know that nobody should have to live in constant fear. I acknowledge my white privilege and promise I will continue to educate myself on how I can help. raging on platforms can not be all that we do in order to repair the system, we need to take real action, off of social media. this is a time to have those uncomfortable conversations with people and mainly with ourselves. we must also make sure we are ready to vote when the time comes to elect the right people into office. the one truth that will always ring loudest is that BLACK LIVES MATTER. ❤️ rest peacefully George Floyd and all victims of this horrible injustice
Kendall continued, pledging to become an ally, that she acknowledges her white privilege and promised that she’ll continue to educate herself on how she can help, adding raging on platforms shouldn’t be all that they do in order to repair the system – off of social media, they need to take real action, since this is a time to have uncomfortable conversations mainly with themselves and with people.
Kim Kardashian, telling fans that she is “disgusted” and “infuriated” by recent events, shared that she’s exhausted by the heartbreak she feels seeing fathers, mothers, brothers, sisters and children suffering because their loved one was locked away or murdered unjustly for being black. She added that even though she’ll never know the suffering and pain they’ve endured, or what it feels like to try surviving in a systemic racism-plagued world, she knows she can use her own voice to help amplify the voices that have been muffled for too long.
Kylie Jenner, for her part, wrote that for the rest of them, speaking up is long overdue – everyone in the country’s currently dealing with two horrific pandemics – and they can’t just sit back and ignore the fact that racism is one of them.- Advertisement -
Kylie shared that she fears and hopes for a better future for Stormi Webster, her and Travis Scott’s 2-year-old daughter. She then added that her heart breaks for George Floyd’s family and friends, calling to everyone to never let his name forgotten – everyone should keep sharing, keep watching and keep speaking out, for it’s the only way they can come together to bring this much needed awareness and change. She concluded her post wishing eternal peace to George Floyd.
