Kendall and Kylie Jenner teamed up with Ashley Stewart in creating a whole new fashion line which the sisters have never done before.
On Thursday, November 21, it was confirmed through an announcement that the Kendall + Kylie clothing brand is working together with Ashley Stewart, a plus-size women’s clothing company for an inclusive ready-to-wear collection.
The Ashley Stewart x Kendall + Kylie pieces are just in time for the holiday. The collection includes a wide range of sequined pieces as well as dresses, jumpsuits and more. The best part? They’re available in sizes 10 to 24 to cater to plus size women out there.
James Rhee, the CEO and Chairman of Ashley Stewart, emphasized that the company’s core mission is to advocate for women and this includes providing them with equal access to fashion styles that they love. In addition, he stated that they’re very proud to be the brand responsible for launching the Kendall + Kylie’s first inclusively sized collection with the whole Ashley Stewart family and growing community base.
Ashley Stewart has been a trusted brand known for catering to plus-size women and to those with curvier body frames. However, it seems that not everyone was ready to indulge in this new collaboration.
For example, Journalist Danielle Young left a comment under a photo posted by the brand featuring the new collection where she expressed her disbelief of having Kendall and Kylie working with the brand.
Others also voiced out the same thoughts by questioning what the Keeping Up With the Kardashians reality stars really know about plus-size clothing.
Another even questioned if it’s a genuine collaboration at all because there was something wrong with the demographic. There’s only a total of seven pieces and one of them is a set.- Advertisement -
On the other hand, there are also those who are excited about this new collaboration. For example, an Instagrammer by the name of @bellabombshel commented that the collection is going to be awesome because it’s all about women supporting each other in the business industry and how she loves the fact that style icons are working together. Also, she referred to the pieces as fashionably hot and affordable.
The Ashley Stewart x Kendall + Kylie collection can only be purchased online. They will also be available up to 2020.
