Happiest wedding anniversary, Kimye!
In one photo, the mom of four plants a sweet kiss on her husband’s cheek before both she and Kanye turned to the camera, smiling from ear-to-ear.
Kim’s mom, Kris Jenner, also greeted a happy anniversary and expressed her love to the couple on Instagram.
On her Instagram story, the KKW Beauty founder also shared throwback photos from her and Kanye’s wedding.
Back in May 2014, the couple tied the knot at the Forte di Belvedere in Florence, Italy. Kim wore a Givenchy Haute Couture and walked down the aisle by stepfather Caitlyn (formerly Bruce) Jenner, while the other family members – including Kourtney and Khloé Kardashian and Kendall and Kylie Jenner – as she and Kanye exchange vows, stayed close by. The ceremony was performed by Miami pastor Rich Wilkerson Jr., while celebrity event planner and long-time Kardashian family friend Sharon Sacks planned the pair’s nuptials.
The week before with a special reception at the Chateau de Wideville (aka designer Valentino Garavani’s Paris home), family and friends officially kicked off the wedding weekend in style, followed by a private guided tour of Versailles’ famed grounds. Kim and Kanye threw a grand pre-wedding dinner which was attended by their close friends such as André Leon Talley, NeNe Leakes, and fashion designers Olivier Rousteing and Alexander Wang, and director Steve McQueen at the Palace of Versailles.
In special episodes of the family’s hit reality show, Keeping Up With the Kardashians, their lavish ceremony was featured.
The couple has since welcomed three more kids together: Saint, Chicago and Psalm, though they were already parents to daughter North.- Advertisement -
The couple has stood by each other’s sides and had each other’s backs throughout everything from celebrity feuds to Kanye’s 2016 hospitalization and Kim’s Paris robbery. Creating a foundation of understanding and focusing on the positive has been the key.
Last year, Kim told New York Magazine that the one consistent thing in their relationship has never stopped being fun, and it’s okay to not understand each other and to not have the same exact feelings all the time.
She added that it’s just about figuring out how they grow from that, what’s the lesson from that and giving each other time and space to figure that out.
