Weighing in on Mental Health
Kim spoke out about Kanye’s health in July 2020, following a series of headline-making tweets.
Kim began saying that Kanye has bi-polar [sic] disorder as many may know, and that she’s never spoken publicly about how his condition has affected them at home, but she feels like she should comment on it now because of the misconceptions and stigma about mental health.
Kim referred to Kanye as a brilliant but complicated person later in the lengthy post. She called for privacy and support in conclusion of her statement.
Kanye’s Comments on Controversial Singers
To clear up any headlines with the potential of misinterpreting Kanye’s comments about controversial artists, Kim took to Twitter in January 2019.
Kim wrote that she’s going to nip it in the bud right now. In defense, she shared that her husband was speaking about his own experience of everyone who was quick to say that they are cancelling him just because of not being perfect and differences in opinion. In addition, the KKW Beauty mogul wrote that it was not defending anyone else, but the analogies were in context to Kanye’s own experiences.
Continuing in her support of her husband, Kim condemned those throwing about “the mental health card” and praised her husband as a “free thinker.”
She added that Kanye will never run in popular opinion’s race and they know that – that’s exactly why she loves and respects him, noting that Kanye is years ahead of his time.
Sounding Off on Critics
In March 2018, Kim took to Twitter once more after Kanye’s Yeezy line faced criticism. She wrote that Season 6 was genius and that all of her Japan looks are season 7 and will soon be online. She then noted that Yeezy does not play by fashion rules and that the showroom was strictly shoes and always intended for that.”
The KUWTK star added that Yeezy has its own universe, with the hashtag #SEASON7 later on the post.- Advertisement -
Exposing Taylor Swift
Kim and Kanye were in the middle of drama with Taylor Swift in July 2016. The “Bad Blood” singer at the time denied knowing that West was going to rap the line, “I made that b***h famous” about her.
Kim posted a video on Snapchat of Taylor and Kanye discussing the “Famous” lyrics in response.
