Lea Michele is officially a mom as she gave birth to a baby boy on August 20.
E! News confirmed that the former Glee star and her husband Zandy Reich welcomed their first child together. The insider said that Lea and Zandy named their son Ever. The actress and singer received tons of well-wishes from family and friends and also shared updates about her first baby. The insider added that Lea, Zandy, and Ever are doing well.
News about her pregnancy came in April. Michele even shared a photo of her baby bump then, saying that she was so grateful. The baby news also came after the couple’s first wedding anniversary last March. Though she didn’t really share lots of photos and updates about her pregnancy journey, she kept fans updated by sharing pictures of herself and her baby bump on Instagram.
Another sources told E! News in May that the expectant celebrity was having an incredible time despite the coronavirus pandemic. Michele wanted to take it easy for the first part of her pregnancy and enjoyed being present and getting soaked into being pregnant without any distractions.
But then, her journey was far from being smooth sailing. Michelle publicized her support in June to the Black Lives Matter movement after the death of George Floyd. She called for an end to deaths like what happened with Floyd.
Unfortunately, her tweet was bombarded by responses from her former Glee co-stars about their unpleasant experiences with her on set. One of them was Samantha Marie Ware who joined Michele and the cast on season six. According to Ware, Michele made her first television gig a living hell.
Michelle issued an apology following Ware’s response. She explained that her tweet was to show support to friends, neighbors, and communities of color but the responses she received made her focus on how her own behavior was perceived by her fellow cast members.- Advertisement -
She added that though she didn’t remember making that specific statement and have never judged others based on the color of their skin, the point is she hurt other people and she apologized for her behavior.
Michele also pointed out that she will work to better herself and take responsibility for her actions so she can be a role model to her child.
