The royal couple spent their holidays in Canada together with their son Archie and Meghan’s mother Doria Ragland. They went on a hike and a picnic after on New Year’s Day when they saw a couple trying to take a photo using a selfie stick.
Asymina Kantorowicz told CTV News Vancouver Island that they noticed a group with two dogs when one of them approached them and asked if they needed help. She offered to take their photo and they said sure. Kantorowicz and Iliya Pavlovic didn’t realize who she was during that time.
But Kantorowicz suddenly noticed Abigail Spencer, friend and co-star of Meghan in Suits. That’s when she realized that it was the Duchess of Sussex who was taking their picture.
According to her, she froze up and couldn’t believe who it was. She looked over to the side and spotted Prince Harry standing there and asked herself if it was actually happening. The Duchess took photos of the couple and handed the phone back to her and said Happy New Year before leaving together with her group and two dogs.
Kantorowicz and Pavlovic still couldn’t believe what happened. They kept asking themselves if what happened really took place because it felt like a dream.
Meanwhile, the palace issued a statement on December 20 stating that the couple’s decision to base themselves in Canada shows how important the Commonwealth country is to both of them. It’s been the home of Meghan for seven years before marrying Harry. They’re both enjoying the beauty of Canada and the warmth of the Canadians.
Meghan and Prince Harry shared before that they were spending some private family time in Canada. The royal couple even shared a couple of candid shots during the holiday including one in front of a Christmas tree with baby Archie crawling in front of the camera.- Advertisement -
In addition, Meghan shared a photo of Harry during Thanksgiving where he was seen standing in front of a lake with baby Archie in his arms.
