Meanwhile, People reported that doctors discovered the damage in her vocal cords while she was undergoing treatments for tonsillitis in a hospital last month. She hadn’t been aware of such damage which she already had for years. The doctors advised her to undergo surgery for her vocal cords before the year ends and that it would take weeks of silence as she recovers.

The singer was last seen performing live during the 2019 iHeartRadio Music Festival held in Las Vegas last September. She is also working on her new album and planned to go on tour next year but after her surgery, she is putting her plans on hold. So far, she hasn’t commented or talked about her latest condition.

Throughout her time in the hospital last month, her present boyfriend, fellow singer Cody Simpson, went to visit her and even serenaded her after her surgery. Moreover, Simpson also helped in taking care of her at her home afterward. During that time, Cyrus posted on her Instagram Story that she was on vocal rest, not body.

The couple has posted photos and videos on Instagram taken at Cyrus’ parents’ home in Nashville, Tennessee these last few days. The 22-year-old Australian singer shared a photo on his Instagram Story of him with Cyrus last Friday along with a caption “success”.

In one of the posts, the couple was seen dancing in the living room of Cyrus’ parents in front of the fireplace where she was also photographed with her ex-husband, Liam Hemsworth, during their wedding in December 2018.

Cyrus and Simpson started seeing each other after the Slide Away singer’s rebound relationship with Kaitlynn Carter ended in September. She was seen kissing Simpson and she defended their relationship on Twitter by saying that people should get used to her dating.

Miley Cyrus has been through a lot this year with her divorce, break up with Carter, and her surgery. Thankfully, she has her new beau by her side.
