Monarchy Still In Shock Over Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Big Decision


Meghan Markle and Prince Harry made a shocking decision, announcing to the public that they are intending to step down from their senior roles as members of the royal family.

Accordingly, the royal family was said to be very disappointed and was hurt regarding Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s decision and the fact that the couple did not present their plans to the royal family earlier considering that it was rather a huge decision that might affect the royal family which only knew the couple’s plans minutes before the public broadcast and despite being very traditional, Queen Elizabeth only read the shocking news through an iPad before the broadcast. The royal couple first disclosed their plans to the Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau before relaying it to the Queen.

Following this shocking revelation, the 93-year-old monarch decided to hold a meeting to discuss things regarding Harry and Meghan’s shocking announcement. Queen Elizabeth together with the two brothers: Prince Harry and Prince William, and their father Prince Charles agreed to meet at Sandringham, Monday to discuss their necessary actions and to talk things through.

The Prince of Wales was on his way back from Oman after attending one of the three-day official condolences for the death of a Sultan. Likewise, the Duchess of Sussex might attend the discussion via phone from Vancouver, Canada where she, Prince Harry and their son Archie spent their holiday getaway.

The family might discuss possible alternatives and actions that will be favorable to both the Sussexes and the Royal Family. Meanwhile, there are a lot of possible outcomes and it is not yet determined whether the family will finalize their decision or present some modifications or other courses of action. Furthermore, it was understood that it needs a lot of time to discuss the complexity of the change of roles of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth is asking to settle things slowly but not for too long. The implementation of whatever decision may not be effective immediately rather must be carefully and slowly be put into light.


Harry and Meghan decided to have some transition. They want to work to be financially independent and at the same time wishes to convey that they are not forgetting their responsibilities to the Queen and their country.
