After personally fighting with the coronavirus, Pink finally shared and detailed her journey through an Instagram live chat with her friend and author Jen Pastiloff on April 4, Saturday.
According to the forty-year-old singer and songwriter, she and her three-year-old son Jameson whom she shares with her husband Carey Hart, was tested positive with COVID-19, a virus that originated from China and has been rapidly spreading across the world with millions of people dying and testing positive. According to Pink herself, both of them have been battling the virus for two weeks and have recovered from it but neither of them really felt a hundred percent assurance of being fully recovered.
The “Just Give Me a Reason” singer further remarked that between the two of them, it was her son Jameson who had the worst of it all, and that he had been really sick and had been up and down during the whole process, while she was constantly stuck on nebulizers for breathing therapy. She further added that Jameson had experienced having a hundred degree temperature for three weeks while her husband and their eight-year-old daughter Willow have been perfectly fine to their relief.
The singer of “Beautiful Trauma” further added that it was seeing her little son suffer with fever and stomach pains which really scared her the most. She also added that she prayed during that moment and have never prayed more in her life especially in such crucial times. For two weeks of battling, the singer, songwriter, and mother of two confessed that she cried a lot and that such serious illness has really scared her.
Presently, the “Raise Your Glass” singer, following the example of other celebrities in fighting the pandemic, is donating one million dollars to relief efforts and half of the amount, she pledged to Temple University Hospital Emergency Fund in Philadelphia. It was a gesture to honour her late mother Judy Moore who has worked there for eighteen years. She promised that the remainder of the amount will go to the Mayor’s Emergency COVID-19 crisis fund in Los Angeles.- Advertisement -
