Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively aren’t only model parents but they’re also known for their big hearts. Just recently, the celebrity couple stepped up once again and used their huge platform for a very important cause.
Two weeks ago, the couple, among other celebrities, donated $1 million to Food Banks Canada and Feeding America. Recently, they were at it again and made personal donations amounting to $100,000 each to NYU Hospital, Mount Sinai, Elmhurst, and Northern Westchester which are considered the hardest hit in New York. They aim to encourage other people around the world to offer support to their local hospitals and communities and also to the hardworking front liners or healthcare workers.
But there’s more! Mint Mobile informed the public that they would be giving their customers free and unlimited high-speed data add-ons up to April 14. When Ryan learnt about this, he decided to let customers know himself by calling them. That’s right! He personally called Mint Mobile customers and you won’t believe some of their reactions. You can watch some of them on social media.
Many celebrities have already tested positive for COVID-19 including couple Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson who have already recovered and are now back in the US. Blake and Ryan are also like other celebs out there who encourage everybody to observe social distancing and home quarantine during the coronavirus pandemic.
Meanwhile, Blake and Ryan’s donations have already changed the lives of many. According to Feeding America, they’re very thankful for the couple’s incredible support. The volunteer program took to social media to express their gratitude. They said that their gift means so much to them and to those they serve. They added that every dollar and minute makes a difference.- Advertisement -
On the other hand, Aviation American Gin owned by Ryan also helped by announcing that they will donate $15,000 to the United States Bartender’s Guild. Additionally, they will also add 30% tip for each bottle they will deliver up to May 1.
The company also took to Instagram to encourage people to flatten the curve so they can continue to support those who serve them.
Thank you, Blake and Ryan!
