Sarah Rose Summers got more than what she bargained for. After winning the crown for the Miss USA pageant last year, she finally tied the knot with her longtime partner and college friend, Conner Combs, in an oh-so-private venue in Arizona, United States, on October 20.
The 24-year-old former Miss USA and Texas native shared that their journey began within their little circle of college friends, back when they were both in their senior years. They have been together for three years after that, although, as Sarah remarked, she might have rejected her now-husband when he was showing interests through their common friends. But all is well that ends well and it was after the hype of Miss Universe pageant in 2018 back in Thailand when the former bachelorette, at last, agreed to spend the rest of her days with her better half.
Days before the big day, Miss USA 2018 shared her pre-wedding preparations on her social media from her hair, tans, to lash extensions. On October 16, she posted a throwback photo of her when she won the title for Miss USA last year with a caption saying that she will be wearing a dress that is far more important than the one she wore during the pageant and that she couldn’t wait to wear it and stand by her then fiancés side.- Advertisement -
And now, the newly wedded bride can’t wait to be in their honeymoon, which, as she shared, is going to be a two-week romantic moment in Bali. Summers also added that it was Conner who planned the itinerary for their honeymoon; from coasts to rice fields. The former Miss USA remarked that she is really excited about the time that they will be spending together that they left immediately after their wedding which was attended by approximately 180 guests.
How they chose the wedding venue was solely based on the place’s secluded nature as compared to other venues in Phoenix. The couple chose Arizona for their wedding venue because Sarah Rose Summers believed that it would be a mistake if either of their home states was chosen to be their wedding venue. The newlyweds are currently enjoying their honeymoon and would soon be enjoying living together in the same city.
