Selena Gomez just acquired a new property! The 27-year-old pop star just dropped $4.9 million on an Encino mansion owned previously by Tom Petty. Turned out Gomez isn’t only a fan of his classic music but also shares his taste when it comes to design and architecture.
The mansion has an area of 11,000 sq. ft. and was custom built by the Free Fallin’ singer and his wife Jane Benyo in 1989. It was built based on the rocker’s desire but they’ve made changes over the years. The mansion underwent renovation and now has more modern furnishings but still maintained the style Petty intended. To describe, the mansion is modern and at the same time an airy lodge equipped with decors of a California beach home.
Now that the Look at Me Now singer owns this palatial estate, she would definitely have her own touch with regard to the styling of the house. Besides, the mansion has many spaces to do whatever she pleases. It comes with six bedrooms and 10 baths. There are also lots of bonus rooms which can be used for leisure.
One of the best features of the mansion that really drew Gomez to buy it is its very own in-home recording booth. This is essential for every musician. She can make music at the comfort of her own home and whenever she has free time from her making her next hit songs, there’s always the wine cellar, massage room, and gym to keep her busy. She can also try her cooking skills at the mansion’s additional kitchen. Further, there’s a workspace for those times she needs to do her other jobs.- Advertisement -
According to rumors, Petty also had secret passageways and rooms when they had the house built. There’s also half an acre of land which Gomez can explore and enjoy every now and then.
In 2017, Gomez bought Sel-Go’s Studio City home at $2.25 million. She had been staying in the bungalow for the last three years but this mansion is definitely an upgrade with 7,000 sq. ft. more. It has more amenities and lots of room for the singer and actress to grow.
