Aside from being a music icon and actress, Selena Gomez has always been known for looking brilliant and changing her hairstyles every now and then.

Last Monday, Gomez took to Instagram to post the latest picture of herself sporting a brand new hairdo. She always likes wearing her hair in long wavy locks but this time around, she was bold enough to try a new hairstyle. Her hair is shorter and curlier like a modern version of the ‘80s looks with a focus on volume and texture. She also has shaggy bangs and ringlets framing her face. Aside from the short haircut, she also added opted for a lighter brunette shade with golden highlights for warmth and contrast.

Gomez confirmed that she’s also among the most stylish celebrities out there by drawing attention to her new ‘do by wearing a grey mock neck sweater. To complete her chic retro look, she wore a pair of silver drop earrings. The “Look at Her Now” singer also had a bronzed smoky eye look and matched it with a coral lipstick which she obviously got from her own beauty line, Rare Beauty.

Last week, the “Lose You to Love Me” singer announced that she would be entering the beauty industry by having her own line of cosmetics. Rare Beauty is exclusive only to Sephora and is expected to launch in the summer of 2020. The beauty line is named after her latest album Rare and aims to encourage everybody to embrace their uniqueness.

Selena took to Instagram to announce the coming of Rare Beauty by saying that she’s been working on a special project for the last two years and will officially launch her line in Sephora stores in North America this summer. She added that there’s more to share and she couldn’t wait.

The Disney alum didn’t share all the details about the brand’s products but her team emphasized that they aim to empower, educate and unite. Their mission is towards shaping beauty, self-acceptance as well as mental health. Moreover, they want to provide better access to different kinds of support and services that will help people connect to one another and make them feel that they’re not alone.
