To show their love, support and gratitude towards healthcare workers, the Sex and the City cast joined forces on Wednesday. The HBO cast members wanted to give thanks for it’s no secret that medical workers have been on the front lines during the coronavirus pandemic.
Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon, Kristin Davis, Kim Cattrall, alongside other stars from the hit series, dedicated a recorded message to the healthcare professionals of New York City. This was shared on YouTube for the latest episode of the Bradshaw Boys podcast.
Meg, who is a doctor working in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit, was given a special shout out by the HBO cast members. The doctor was also a huge SATC fan. Parker expressed that what Meg and her colleagues are doing was something she didn’t think they’d ever be asking of the medical community and that she doesn’t know how to thank them enough.
Willie Garson also thanked them for their incredible work, and that he knows that they don’t often feel that way, but people are aware that they are literally saving lives left and right. He added that they are actually heroes.
Cynthia Nixon shared that she felt a personal connection to the hospital where Meg works at – for the hospital saved her mother’s life in 2001 when she had a heart attack. Nixon thanked them for what they are doing from the bottom of their hearts, told them to stay safe and that they’re just their heroes right now.- Advertisement -
Davis also thanked them for what they’re doing since she knows it’s really difficult and it means so much to all of them that they are on the front lines. She also thanked them for watching Sex and the City, and that they’re happy to bring them some joy.
Cattrall also thanked them for all that they do on the front lines of the horrific pandemic, and that without them, the rest couldn’t keep going. Cattrall added that she’s so glad to hear that they put a smile on their faces as they walk across the park and get on the front line. She also assured them that they’re with them, that they love them, and that they couldn’t do it without all of them.
As reported earlier, Lizzo was giving free lunch to health care workers.
