The 62nd Annual Grammy Awards once again brought the biggest names in music together on Sunday. It is a night of epic celebrations featuring some history-making moments. Billie Eilish has made a mark for her first-ever nomination and a lot of head-turning red carpet flashes.
Every year, a lot of memorable performances are unleashed. This year, outstanding performances were seen from Nominees Lizzo, Tyler the Creator, Ariana Grande, Camilla Cabello, and the Jonas Brothers. The performers have delivered excellent and powerful renditions of their hit songs, leaving everyone’s eyes open.
It wasn’t just a night of fun and excitement but also a night of moving moments. The night started with an emotional tribute to Kobe Bryant. A star-studded tribute was also held for Nipsey Hussle led by John Legend and DJ Khaled. FKA twigs together with Usher sang an electrifying Prince medley to give honor to the late singer. As she returned to the Grammy Awards stage, Demi Lovato was emotional as she delivered her new song “Anyone”, which was written in 2018, days before her near-fatal overdose.
Not everyone has enjoyed the night as some couldn’t make it to the show. Here are some of the stars that were noticeably missing from all the 2020 Grammy Awards action:
The “Lover” singer was supposed to make a surprise performance on the show but confirmed that she couldn’t make it days before the event. She was nominated for three awards this year.
The A Star is Born was nominated for three awards, but Lady Gaga decided not to come on this year’s Grammy Awards. The “Shallow” singer was celebrating her latest Haus Labs campaign with fans.
BEYONCE & JAY-Z
In the 2020 Grammys, the power couple was nowhere to be seen. Beyonce and Jay-Z decided to sit this year’s Grammys even though Queen Bey was nominated for four awards. But they were at the Roc Nation’s pre-Grammy brunch and Clive Davis pre-Grammy gala that took place earlier in the weekend. Jay-Z was also spotted solo attending an after-party in West Hollywood.
The “Photograph” was not in attendance in the 2020 Grammys despite being nominated for Best Pop Vocal Album. Together with his wife Cherry Seaborn, jet-setted together for a couple’s getaway after announcing that he will be taking a break from social media.
With her bestie Taylor Swift not spotted on the event, the “Lose You To Love Me” singer wasn’t also in attendance. Selena decided to watch the show from home and gave her Barney and Friends pal Demi Lovato a sweet shout-out on Instagram.- Advertisement -
Miley Cyrus hasn’t joined her mom or her family to cheer on dad Billy Ray Cyrus as he performed his Grammy-winning song “Old Town Road” with Lil Nas X. The “Slide Away” singer has been taking her time after undergoing vocal cord surgery in November 2019.
