Are you one of those who couldn’t get enough of The Kissing Booth? Guess what? You’re in luck because there’s a third movie already on the way.
Netflix recently released The Kissing Booth 2 after the success of its first movie. The hit romantic comedy talked about two besties named Elle, played by Joey King, and Lee, played by Joel Courtney, who came up with a set of rules which they need to follow. But when Elle broke the rule by dating Lee’s brother Noah, played by Jacob Elordi, all hell broke loose. In the end, true love won.
The Kissing Booth 2 followed Elle and Noah’s long distance relationship and how they struggled with trusting each other after she found out Noah has been hanging out with a gorgeous college girl. Elle herself got attracted to another senior guy in school who was also her dance partner in a competition. Meanwhile, Lee had to deal with his own love problems. The two besties also started sending college applications to Berkeley but Elle also had her eyes set on applying to Harvard where Noah is studying. In the end, all went well for everybody.
But during the last part of the movie, Elle was seen receiving two letters of acceptance coming from Berkeley and Harvard and based on how the film ended, she’s yet to make her decision. This made viewers wonder which college she’ll go to and of course, it sparked the idea that there could be a part three.
Good news because there really is a The Kissing Booth 3 and the stars confirmed they have finished making it. The cast namely Joey King, Joel Courtney, Taylor Zakhar Perez, Meganne Young, and Maisie Richardson-Sellers broke the news last weekend while having their virtual fan fest.- Advertisement -
Courtney told fans during the chat that they shot the second and third movies at the same time. King added that it was the hardest secret to keep ever. They also revealed that Vince Marcello directed the third movie and he’s not the only one coming back in the third film. The co-stars confirmed that aside from King and Courtney, Elordi, Zakhar Perez, Richardson-Sellers, Young, and Molly Ringwald are also present.
According to Deadline, the third film takes place around summer before Elle and Lee go to college. Elle has a major decision to make, specifically on which college to attend. It’s still a game of wait and see among fans but based on a sneak peek, Elle ignored a call from the Admission Office at Harvard.
