With an official statement give out by the organization, the President together with the Prime Minister of Japan decided to reschedule the Games of the XXXII Olympiad in Tokyo to a later date though not later than summer of 2021. In a statement, NBC and Dick Clark Productions announced that the 2020 Billboard Music Awards will be postponed. The postponement of the event was in accordance to the guidelines given out by the national health officials.
